Babson Women Host Career Talk With Serial Entrepreneur

Babson Women Host Career Talk With Serial Entrepreneur

A Conversation with CWL Executive in Residence, Debra Facktor Lepore

Debra Facktor Lepore, a serial entrepreneur with more than 20 years experience in the aerospace industry, will share her wisdom and experience in an interactive conversation at the Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship, Babson College, on Tuesday, November 10, 6-8 p.m.

Entitled Some Great Companies, Some Great Careers, Some Great Big Gaps for Women, Facktor Lepore will explore with the audience the challenges and opportunities for women who work in scientific, engineering, and technology industries.

She has spent nearly all of her years in the aerospace industry involved with startup projects or companies. Her company, DFL Space LLC, engineers innovative business strategies, using her entrepreneurial and technical skills to balance big picture visions with tactical implementation. Facktor Lepore is president of AirLaunch LLC, a company (currently in hiatus) developing a small rocket launched out of a C-17 cargo airplane to deploy small satellites into space. Also, she is president of the Washington State Women’s Forum and a former Leadership Foundation Fellow.

CWL has made a strong commitment to the recently announced collaborative partnership between Babson College, Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering, and Wellesley College. With so many talented and passionate young women from these institutions ready to take on leadership roles in key industries, this conversation is particularly timely and important.

This event is free and open to the public. To register visit: http://www3.babson.edu/CWL/events/conversation_facktorLepore.cfm.

The mission of Babson’s Center for Women's Leadership is to create, support and disseminate best practice for women's entrepreneurial leadership through educational excellence, innovative professional development and outreach and research that translates data into knowledge and knowledge into action.
